Well, it was only a matter of time. DICE has announced today that they are putting on a Double XP Weekend in Battlefield 3 starting tonight. In fact, it’s going to be Battlefield 3‘s first time. They grow up so fast. Just play a ranked match between 12:01 AM PST on May 12th and May 13th at 11:59 PM PST to see a “Additional Points” section in your XP summary for the match.
You know, the last time I fired up Battlefield 3 was for the Destructoid Community Playdate last month. Maybe I’ll play a few rounds this weekend. I’ve been itching to throw some C4 on a helicopter and waiting for my teammates to jump in. Yes, I’m that guy. I know quite a few of you are not happy about EA and DICE shutting down their official servers, but is anyone else going to play this weekend?
