Mega Man Vol. 5 arrives this Wednesday

Ladies and gentlemen, a new Archie Mega Man graphic novel is arriving this Wednesday, May 22. I have confirmation from fellow editor Chris Carter that he’s been picking up back issues and graphic novels to prep himself for the Sonic / Mega Man crossover “Worlds Collide,” and I know there are more of you out there itching to play catch-up. This one’s for you! Yes, you!

Mega Man Vol. 5: Rock of Ages collects issues #17-20, which includes the twopart Proto Man origin story, the one-shot starring Roll and her robo-gal pals, and the 25th anniversary celebration. That last story, the titular “Rock of Ages,” is fairly significant in that if offers readers a peek into upcoming Mega Man game adaptations, from Mega Man V on Game Boy to the recent Mega Man 10, most of which are likely years away. Smart plan on writer Ian Flynn’s part, because now Archie Comics can never cancel the series for any reason until all those events take place!

The book will run you back $11.99, but you can shave a few bucks by pre-ordering either from Amazon or the Archie store. Jump on that quickly!
