Mortal Shell 2 has a bunch of buffs and debuffs that can apply as different ailments and status effects. While you can inflict them on the enemies, they can do the same to you if you can’t parry or dodge an incoming attack.

While some bosses can inflict these afflictions on you, you don’t have to worry about them from ordinary enemies.

You can also utilize different consumables to apply some of these effects. When you’re making a build, always focus on the status effects and pick those that will gel well with your preferred shell.
