What is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon? This is Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. We’ve seen how the absurd, brightly-lit spin-off begins, and we know it’s going for in terms of story — “[It’s] really stupid, and that’s okay” — but this walkthrough video from creative director Dean Evans appears more indicative of the end result; what we’ll largely be spending our time on soon enough.
In short, it looks great. The wackiness of Blood Dragon is certainly appealing in a genre that’s been playing it safe lately, though I suspect the title will pack more of a punch for those who did not play vanilla Far Cry 3 given the common elements between the two. I am stoked.
