Complete the Moonlighting as a Hero quest

Once you’re inside the Realm, the first quest you need to tackle to begin the unlock process for this duo will automatically begin. Your first mission is called Moonlighting as a Hero. In this quest, you get to meet Phil and familiarize yourself with the main Realm area.

Most parts of the Hercules Realm are blocked off, though, so your first task is to find a way forward. Phil has you track down a Moon Headband and some nature offerings for Artemis to make this possible. You also have to run a tricky obstacle course to prove your worth before you can finally set off to find Hercules.

Complete the Speedrun Crash Course quest

Next up is the Thunderstruck quest, which begins once you finally reach the temple on the other side of the storm in the Hercules Realm. In this mission, you’re tasked with solving a crest puzzle, finding materials to craft some Golden Bracers, curating jokes for Zeus, and finally entering the temple.

Complete the A Real Godly Mess quest

The fourth quest you have to tackle in this Realm is called A Real Godly Mess. For this quest, your focus in cleaning up the defaced mural to make the gods happy and restore peace to the Realm.

First, you need to find six mosaic pieces scattered around the main temple area. Then, you need to complete a puzzle to piece them back together. Once the mural is restored, the gods will be happy again, and the dark shadows overtaking the Realm will disappear.

After restoring peace to the Realm, Hercules will be ready to join your valley, which means you can head back home to get to work building him a house. This happens near the end of the A Real Godly Mess quest. Hercules’ house costs 10,000 Star Coins to build, and as long as you have this amount, you can get it set up instantly.

Unlock Hercules

As soon as his house is built, Hercules will be unlocked and join your village. This can only happen once all of the other prerequisite quests mentioned before this have been completed, though, so make sure you work through them all if you want to recruit him.

Return to the Hercules Realm

Hercules may have been ready to join your village right away, but Phil needs a bit more convincing. Cook up a five-star meal for Phil, then head back to the Hercules Realm. Find and chat with Phil in the temple to learn why he chose to stay behind.

Phil’s worried about the mysterious trickster and wants to see if there’s anything you can learn before you go. Walk over to the front of the repaired mosaic mural to pick up the clue left behind by the trickster. Show this clue to Phil and promise to help him look further into it once he’s in the valley.
