You’ve finally made it inside the temple and discovered what’s got the gods so upset in Disney Dreamlight Valley. Some trickster ruined their mosaic mural, and it’s up to you to fix it in the A Real Godly Mess quest.
Figuring out how to fix the issue upsetting the gods is crucial if you want to get Hercules and Phil to feel comfortable leaving the Realm and heading back home with you, so checking off this mission is a must. How to complete A Real Godly Mess in Disney Dreamlight Valley
Find all the missing pieces of the mosaic
The mosaic picture is missing a total of six pieces, and to help fix the gods’ anger, you need to search the temple to find them. Break the nearby black and pink rocks, clear away dark thorns, and destroy the Greek column rock spots to gain access to the missing mosaic pieces. All six pieces are located in the main temple area, so you don’t have to wander too far to find them.
Some of the mosaics you find will be sitting on the ground, and all you need to do is pick them up to obtain them. Others, though, will fly away as soon as you get close to them, similar to the Pegasus Feathers you caught earlier on during the Speedrun Crash Course quest. Because of this, it’s a good idea to eat some food before you start searching for them so you’re ready to glide and chase any pieces that attempt to escape.
Once you’ve got all six pieces, meet up with Hercules and Phil in front of the mural right in the middle of the temple. Talk to Phil to share your progress and figure out the next steps.
Complete the puzzle
Upon finishing your chat with Phil, an interactive spot will appear on the mosaic. Interact with it to open a puzzle you now need to complete to fix up the mural. It’s similar to the Re-Order puzzles you may have already completed over in Storybook Vale, so you’ll have a decently easy time with this one if you’re already familiar with those.
If not, the way this puzzle works is that you need to click and drag all pieces from the left side to their correct spots on the right. It’s easiest to start with the outer edges and work your way inwards. If you’re struggling to get it done, you can find the completed version with all the pieces in the right spots below.
Place Hercules’ House in the valley
As soon as the mosaic is complete, the darkness in the Hercules Realm will vanish, and the gods won’t be upset any longer. Now that everything is peaceful, Hercules is ready to join you in the valley.
Interact with the sparkling spot near the beach in the Hercules Realm to head back to the main valley. Then, open furniture mode, click on the Phil quest icon, and place the outline for his home anywhere in the village. Interact with the Scrooge McDuck sign in front of the house to spend 10,000 Star Coins and officially build a home for Hercules.
Prepare any five-star meal for Phil
Hercules is now a valley villager, but getting Phil to join too will take a bit of extra work. To help convince him, Hercules suggests you try making him a five-star meal. Cook any five-star meal you like, then head back into the Hercules Realm to chat with Phil at the temple and give it to him.
Find a clue about the mysterious trickster
Phil doesn’t want to leave until you know more about the trickster behind the entire debacle, so he asks you to help him find a clue. Head over to the newly fixed mosaic to find some Dreamlight Thread floating in the water right in front of it. Go back to Phil to discuss what you found.
You promise to help him look further into it once he’s in the valley, so Phil finally agrees to join the town, too. Head back to the valley to officially welcome him as a new villager. Once that’s done, the A Real Godly Mess quest will be complete, and you’ve officially unlocked Hercules and Phil.
