The Bioscanner is a pretty important tool in Subnautica 2, and we will need to unlock it to reach the end of the early access campaign. We can also use it to scan alien lifeforms, which gives us more perks like extra Biomods.
Like most things in the game, we’ll have to find the blueprint before we can use it.

Bioscanner blueprint location in Subnautica 2
To unlock the Bioscanner, we need to scan just one blueprint. However, we will have to travel all the way to the fourth Angel Comb in the Alien Ruins. From there, keep moving upwards until you come across a crashed Alterra starship.

You can refer to the image above to find the entrance. You’ll need the Repair Tool to proceed since one of the key doorways is inaccessible at first. Repair the door, and head to the next room. Take the door on your left in this room, and go to the next one.

You’ll find an Iso in this room resting on a dining table and an upgrade for your Tadpole submarine. Look carefully at the corner, and you’ll find a hole in a chamber. Follow the chamber to the end, and you’ll come across the Bioscanner. Use your Scanner to unlock the blueprint.

How to craft the Bioscanner in Subnautica 2
The Bioscanner is an upgrade over your Scanner, and you’ll need the Modification Station for it. You’ll also need the required resources to craft the Bioscanner. This item scans quicker and allows you to check out certain lifeforms undetectable by the ordinary scanner.
You’ll also need the Bioscanner to scan the broken turbine before you can activate it to reach the end of the game (as of writing).
