Suck it, movies: Modern Warfare 3 made a quick $1 billion

Do you care how much money entertainment products bring in? Hooray, rich people! Then you’ll be interested to know, perhaps, that Activision has announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 earned $1 billion in sales within 16 days. This information comes from “Charttrack and retail customer sell-through information.”

You know what this means, don’t you? Avatar‘s race to $1 billion took 17 days, so clearly this is important. So important. Videogames, everybody — turns out quite a few of us enjoy them enough to scrounge up $60 without much hesitation.
