That screen is actually the Evo’s Combat Command LCD display, and it lets you set up advanced features of the controller. For example, you can enter a menu to tweak the rapid fire rate, or set up custom combo moves. Button mapping looks really easy with an on-screen representation of the controller shown. You’re able to tweak all of these settings and more during any game. That’s way more useful than a VMU!
