The Weekend Hotness: Happy 25th birthday, Mega Man!

Even though December 17 has just begun for us, Japan has been living up Mega Man’s 25th birthday for the past 15 hours. In that time, Mega Man Megamix / Gigamix manga author Hitoshi Ariga shared this wonderful little art piece celebrating the event. D’awww!

I myself have been doing the anniversary thing all weekend. You’ve no doubt already seen my massive Mega Man infographic of every series entry in existence as well as the music list that Jayson Napolitano and I collaborated on. I’ve got one more big treat in store for you cats tomorrow afternoon, so look out for that! And don’t forget to download Street Fighter X Mega Man once it goes live on Capcom-Unity!

The biggest story this weekend, however, was the fallout of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting and the media’s spastic urge to blame anyone and anything for the disaster, regardless of silly things like “facts.” That’s the extent of my political input; I’ll leave the rest for you to discuss amongst yourselves.

Elsewhere, the first episode of Teenage Pokémon is live; Sup, Holmes? welcomes James Kochalka, creator of the web cartoon SuperF*ckers; and community member Jinx 01 has a promoted blog about how he likes to treat the Steam service as a game.
