An Eden for the rest of us: CCP shines light on Dust 514

Recommended Videos

When I think of large-scale, methodical PC MMORPGs the last thing that comes to my mind is being able to link up to a console-based first-person shooter. Clearly, the hard working folks at CCP Games thought otherwise.

Dust 514 is the interesting EVE Online spin-off project from CCP Games, with it’s focus set on fast paced, first-person shooter action and large scale battles. This diary shows players a glance at some of the ideas and themes that CCP Games used to build and integrate Dust 514 into the EVE Online universe.

I have never been into first-person shooters that much, say for the occasional late night session of Left 4 Dead or Battlefield 3 with some friends, but CCP Games does have a very interesting concept in Dust 514. It will be interesting to see what else might come out of this cross-genre/cross-platform digital symbiosis.
