3DS video: See how Street Pass Quest and Puzzle work

Recommended Videos

You may have heard a bit about the Nintendo 3DS functionality called Street Pass. It’s awesome, but you may not get how it works yet. It goes like this: Nintendo wants you to keep your 3DS on at all times, in your bag or pocket, so that you may pass other 3DS owners on the street. When that happens, there’s an exchange of game data that quietly happens. The next time you open your 3DS you’ll find new data from other gamers to see and interact with.

Some of the coolest examples of how Street Pass works are through the two built-in 3DS games, which will be called Street Pass Quest and Street Pass Puzzle in the west. We’ve put together a full video walkthrough of how both of these games work. In it you’ll see both games in action as well as the end result of a day’s worth of walking around to collect other Miis. You’ll also get a better understanding of how the 3DS pedometer and Game Coin system works.

Also, three words: Cats with Swords. You’ll see.
