Coming spring 2013

I looooooove you, Atlus. What a nice little Christmas surprise!

If you know your SMT (and I know plenty of you do), you’ll know that we missed out on Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Soul Hackers here. It was released on the Saturn and PlayStation in Japan in the late 1990s, but the west never saw it.

This first-person, dungeon crawling, cyberpunk-ish RPG is now coming to the Nintendo 3DS with new enhancements and a full English localization. Atlus is shooting for Spring 2013 for release in the US.

In it, you’ll fight and/or team up with demons to fight other demons. Soul Hackers features 30 new demons, a new opening, a new theme song, better controls, and better load times. Oh, and the 3DS bottm screen will be used for a map. Upon completition, you’ll have access to a new dungeon where you’ll run into Raidou Kuzunoha!

Enjoy a new trailer and a few new screenshots this morning.

I. Cannot. Wait.
