007 Legends gets a trailer and release date

Today (or yesterday depending on the location that you are reading this) was a good day for Bond fans. First we got the absolutely incredible trailer for the new Bond film, Skyfall, and now the first trailer for the upcoming Bond game 007 Legends. The trailer reveals that one of the classic Bond films players will be tackling is Moonraker, Roger Moore’s most successful Bond film even if it was far from his best. Of course we’ll be playing as Daniel Craig throughout the entire game since it says only one Bond is appearing and it looks like everything has been updated to current day.

The trailer also reveals the game’s release date as October 16, which gives everyone plenty of time to play through it before Skyfall hits in November.

I have to say that I’m both excited and disappointed by Moonraker as a choice for one of the six Bond films that will be making an appearance in the game. I can totally understand the decision since it is easily one of the most videogame friendly Bond films with laser guns and space battles, but it’s just so damn goofy. Plus, The Spy Who Loved Me is the same movie, but underwater and better. We’ll have to wait and see what the rest of the films are, but I’m hoping they go in a slightly different direction than just the big obvious ones.
