This Street Fighter V trailer signals Charlie's return

Street Fighter V made another appearance at yesterday evening's Capcom Cup, which, amidst the bout between Ryu and Chun-Li, provided a brief flash of a third fighter. That sure looks like Charlie Nash, Guile's military comra...

Phoenix Wright was almost named 'Roger'

The Ace Attorney series has gradually built itself a small but loyal following outside of Japan. One of the reasons for that is how the games offer an experience that you can't get anywhere else in gaming. Their popularity ha...

That ThinkGeek Mega Buster replica is now available

I was just playing through Mega Man 4 the other day, and man does the Mega Buster still feel good. The whole game does actually -- all of the NES titles have aged quite well.

If you want to relive those moments in real life, ThinkGeek is now selling its Mega Buster replica for $79.99. To recap, it has flashing lights and sounds, so you can run around your house and go "pew pew" to your heart's desire.

Hold it! You need to pick up Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy

I was in high school when I first got my hands on the original Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney. As a visual novel addict, it sated my thirst for something new and exciting in the handheld space, and even inspired a brief stint w...

Street Fighter V confirmed as PS4, PC exclusive photo
Street Fighter V confirmed as PS4, PC exclusive
by Kyle MacGregor

Street Fighter V is coming "exclusively" to PlayStation 4 and PC, Sony and Capcom announced today onstage at the PlayStation Experience in Las Vegas, Nevada.

The fighting game will support cross-platform play, meaning PS4 owners and PC users will be able to compete against one another, something Capcom's Yoshinori Ono notes is a first for the series.

During the keynote, Sony's Adam Boyes asserted PS4 "will be the only console this game ever appears on." So don't hold out hope for an Xbox One version.

Check out the title's debut gameplay footage and screenshots right here:

Oh dear: Dragon's Dogma Online trademarked

Well, my emotions have been sufficiently toyed with. A European trademark for Dragon's Dogma Online was discovered today by NeoGAF and as far as words I don't want to see appear in videogame names go, particularly from a comp...

Street Fighter V teaser trailer leaked, planned to be a PS4/PC exclusive photo
Street Fighter V teaser trailer leaked, planned to be a PS4/PC exclusive
by Jonathan Holmes

There is a big PlayStation event happening this weekend, and as is customary for big events in this industry, we have been granted a nice pre-event leak to chew on. Unlike the big Smash Bros. leak from earlier this year, this one seems to have come from the publisher itself. Capcom posted this teaser trailer on its YouTube page a few hours ago, and has since taken it down. Oops! I'm guessing it will be putting it back up again in the next 72 hours or so, hopefully with a little more info on what Street Fighter V will have to offer.

It doesn't look like Street Fighter V will be that different from its predecessor, at least where graphics are concerned. Ryu and Chun Li look a lot like they did in Street Fighter IV but with less exaggerated features and a little more detail in their character models. With diminished visual wow-factor, its status as a PS4 and PC exclusive, and "Street Fighter IV update fatigue" plaguing less competitive fans of the series, I'm already a little worried that the game may not drum up as much excitement as Street Fighter IV did all those years ago.

Then again, EVO is bigger than ever, and the PS4 and PC are the easiest consoles to stream from. Maybe Street Fighter V will surpass Street Fighter IV's popularity through those means. I sure hope so. After Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike, the series went into hibernation for almost ten years. Those were sad times. Hopefully Street Fighter V will prevent them from returning.

Why is Ryu a wolf in the upcoming Ultra Street Fighter IV DLC?

Resident Evil: Revelations 2 brings the mystery back to survival horror photo
Resident Evil: Revelations 2 brings the mystery back to survival horror
by Alessandro Fillari

There's certainly been intrigue surrounding Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Since its existence was leaked a few months back and several cryptic images of a derelict prison made the rounds, there has been speculation about what to expect from this installment. And, with the return of characters from other titles, there is evidently a larger focus on linking things back to the series' past.

Its predecessor, Resident Evil: Revelations, felt very much like a back-to-basics approach to the series, which earned a lot favor from fans. With the upcoming sequel, more characters from the past are brought back to the forefront and are drawn into a greater conspiracy. Obviously, this isn't entirely new for the franchise. However, with the greater focus on mystery in Revelations 2 and how Capcom plans to release the game in episodes, it could give the series a much needed change of pace. After Brett's hands-on time with the sequel back at Tokyo Game Show, he was left unsure of what to expect from the game. And, judging from my own time with it last month, that might be for the best.

This is one title you might want to go into blind.
