Dtoid on Twitch returns with a Splatterhouse champ playing Bayonetta 2

I'm proud to have been a part of Destructoid's Twitch channel back when John Carnage got it started in 2010. Kicking off the Super Meat Boy charity stream with Danny Baronowski was one of the highlights of my whole darn life....

FUGGETABOUTIT!!

What, no "If you need to learn how to talk to a lady, ask your mom"? At least this probably-old-but-new-to-me Bayonetta 2 soundboard has Enzo's catchphrase. I feel bad for making it to the end of the game before realizing he'd been left behind. What a goof. A foul-mouthed, lovable goof.

Bayonetta 2 is giving me the Tetris effect

Bayonetta kicked my ass last week, but I finished it (after giving in and switching the difficulty setting to Easy). I survived Gracious and Glorious, and sent you-know-who hurtling into the you-know-what. Damn, what a cool g...

I didn't think I'd enjoy Bayonetta this much

Fighting angels as a witch dressed up like Samus Aran is a fun way to spend an evening. I'm several years late to playing Bayonetta, a game I might have never sought out had Nintendo and Platinum not packaged it in with its W...

Even more secrets from The Wonderful 101 revealed

[Update: The art above is a mock up from fan artist Kibbles and is not official art from Platinum as originally reported. Sorry for the mistake, and thanks to Edutena for pointing it out.] Sometimes a game takes a while to fi...

Review: Bayonetta 2 photo
Review: Bayonetta 2

Outside of Devil May Cry 3, Bayonetta is one of the finest action games of all time. The action systems were so clean, so precise, and so rewarding that it leaves pretty much everything these days in the dust.

Bayonetta 2 doesn't change a whole lot, and that's perfectly okay with me.

Friday Night Fights: Witch time!

Happy Friday! I almost can't believe that it's actually here. Bayonetta 2, a game that nobody thought we'd ever see, has officially launched here in the states for the Wii U. After playing through the demo almost a dozen time...

Yep, I have no idea what this Bayonetta 2 trailer's all about

Look, I'm not the type of guy that would lie to you. I wouldn't feign expertise in something I know nothing about. Today, that something is Bayonetta 2, as this launch trailer makes very little sense to me. This is all givin...

Kamiya re-iterates that bringing Bayonetta 2 to PS4 or Xbox One is Nintendo's call

As we draw closer to the international release date for Bayonetta 2, a lot of people continue to bring up the exclusivity deal. "Will we get it one day on other platforms," people ask constantly, hoping that one day it will s...

Here's the entire Bayonetta 2 Nintendo Direct, check out the Star Fox costume

I'm still surprised that Nintendo is pushing Bayonetta 2 as hard as it is when Wonderful 101 matched their brand effortlessly, and they barely promoted it. As I've said in the past, every time I've seen this game demoed by a Nintendo representative, it's extremely awkward as they kind of look away when Bayonetta is being sexual and shrug their shoulders when something really violent happens. Like, am I supposed to enjoy it at that point? Too bad, I'm loving it.

Anyway, Bayonetta 2 got a Nintendo Direct last night, which revealed a few big developments. Most notably, Rodin is playable in Tag Climax mode, and there's a Fox McCloud costume now. Check out the full broadcast above.

Minor confession to make: I haven't played Bayonetta. Yeah, I hear it's good, but I just never got around to it. It happens. Heading into a quick hands-on session with Bayonetta 2, I figured my inexperience wouldn't matter much.

Wow, was I ever wrong. Now a few hours removed from the demo, my head's still spinning from trying to discern exactly what the hell just happened.

Bayonetta 2 dated for October 24th photo
Bayonetta 2 dated for October 24th
by Chris Carter

Nintendo has sent word that Bayonetta 2 will be hitting the Wii U on October 24th. In case you haven't heard of it yet, she'll also gain access to a new "snake transformation" that will let her navigate water, and of course, the first game will be bundled with it with all of the Nintendo costume options we've seen so far.

I had a chance to play Bayonetta 2 recently and enjoyed it. It's pretty much a faithful recreation of the crazy and technical action systems present in the first game, and I'm very happy that Platinum Games is keeping things simple with tactile control options.

More Bayonetta 2 screens make me want to speak in tongues

I've got this feeling and it's deep in my body. It gives me wiggles and it makes my rump shake. It's called "looking at these Bayonetta 2 screens." That's why I'm so tickled about this latest batch, but honestly I'm about rea...
