HNNNNNG! My heart can't take much more of this! I think I'm going to slip into a coma before the Archie Sonic / Mega Man crossover even begins. But I've got to hold on! Just one month left! To bring everyone up to speed, the ...

Game heroes died so that you can have this poster

Did you guys get a chance to check out "The Game Over Tinies" in brentalfloss the comic? Once again, co-writers brentalfloss and Dan Roth and artist Andrew Dobson created an abecedarian comic of videogame character deaths -- ...

Even more 'Game Overs' in storybook rhyme

A couple weeks back, brentalfloss the comic began an arc parodying the dark comedy children's book The Gashlycrumb Tinies -- that book's author, Edward Gorey, is the subject of today's Google Doodle, by the by. Anyway, "The G...

Castlevania IV gets the Laura Shigihara vocal treatment

What's that, Plants vs. Zombies' Laura Shigihara? Covering select tracks from The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword isn't enough anymore? You're going to give Super Castlevania IV a spin? That's cool. And what's that? You want ...

Laura Shigihara made another Skyward Sword vocal mix

Plants vs. Zombies composer Laura Shigihara already melted our hearts last month with her wonderful rendition of Skyward Sword's "Ballad of the Goddess." The Skyward magic doesn't end there, as now she attempts to make peopl...

The alphabet of 'Game Overs' in comic strip form

Superfans of brentalfloss might be aware that he has his own self-titled webcomic. He doesn't draw it -- doodles are provided by one Andrew Dobson -- but he co-writes along with series creator Dan Roth. And whenever there's a...

Old Nintendo game translations were fun!

The adorable (and undeniably Canadian) Rinry used to be able to pump out fun, nostalgic videos at a fairly decent clip. But ever since she became a mommy, she hasn't had as much time for video production. 'Tis a shame, 'caus...

Adorbs! Laura Shigihara's Skyward Sword vocal arrangement

I got more than a little excited during the opening cutscene of Skyward Sword when Zelda started singing "Ballad of the Goddess." With an actual voice! The lyrics were gibberish, meant to represent whatever pre-Hylian langua...

Spend Christmas with Sonic in this sweet short film

Sound Shapes is getting a free holiday sound pack today photo
Sound Shapes is getting a free holiday sound pack today
by Brett Zeidler

Sound Shapes is a really special game. Even more special is the game's community, which supports it with absolutely amazing new levels/songs every single day. Queasy Games has realized this, and to show their undying love for the community they're releasing the free Holiday Sound Pack right now. Just start your game up (while connected to the internet), and that's it! It's like Christmas morning, except it's December 19th and you're probably still at work or school.

What exactly will you be getting in this pack? Well, you'll have five brand-new Christmas-themed instruments from classic carols that you and your peers of the Sound Shapes community get to play with. I can't wait for someone to recreate Led Zeppelin II or something with them. Actually, I think that'll now be my goal for the rest of the day.

Happy Holidays right back at all you guys over at Queasy Games. Oh, and quit being so freaking adorable.
