Uhhhhhhhh… what?

An Olympics tie-in? Now? Over two months since the Summer Games ended? I never thought I’d see the day when Sonic the Hedgehog was actually late for something!

If it wasn’t obvious, Archie Sonic the Hedgehog #242 is an adaptation of Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games — minus the Mario characters, of course. It’s another non-canon tale, much like this month’s Sonic Universe #45, that breaks up the current story arc. It’ll appear in comic shops starting October 31, though subscribers will likely already have it by then.

Even funnier than the fact that the comic completely missed the Olympics season is that all the stands appear to be empty. Even the spectators knew that the Olympics were over!
