Your iPhone is a makeshift Pokedex using Wolfram Alpha

Things adults do

I need to get in the habit of using Wolfram Alpha more frequently. One reason being that the search (err, “knowledge”) engine now features Pokemon data, including: evolutions, species, base statistics, physical characteristics, and even footprint. Of course, it goes far beyond that when you start getting into the mathematical side of Wolfram Alpha.

It’s been suggested that iPhone owners should use Siri — “Search Wolfram for [Pokemon-related thing]” — for an unofficial Pokedex experience. This is a thing I’ll probably end up doing at some point. Yep. Just did it. I got a kick out of the associated plane curves.
