Somebody pinch me! Yakuza 5 is coming to PlayStation 3 in North America next year, Sony announced today at the PlayStation Experience. This is definitely better late than never!
It sounds like Sony had a big hand in making this a reality, as Sega notes the platform holder is its partner on the localized version of the game.
So that’s the good news. Here’s some bad news. It’s digital only. That might be a bummer if you’re the type that gets upset about non-physical releases. Personally, I’m just happy it’s coming at all.
Also going digital are Yakuza 4 and Yakuza: Dead Souls, both of which hit PSN today.
