Microsoft has shown off what the Xbox One can do in a live demonstration, starting by simply saying “Xbox On.” Kinect’s new voice recognition allows you to switch the machine on and sign in with one single command. Switching between games, online browsing, and live television is all done with instant voice commands and no loading.

Live TV is one of the new features backing Microsoft’s “all in one” philosophy. You can easily jump from television to browsing, and even multitask. Snap Mode allows you to switch from app to app without shutting anything down. It’s like having a computer in your HOUSE! Snap Mode will also work with the built-in Skype, which allows friends to call each other instantly.

Another new feature is Trendy, which has been designed to recall what you and your friends enjoy and share information for recommendation purposes. Trending measures in real-time what people are watching, be it video-on-demand, music, or games. You can also access TV listings and access whatever channels you’re already subscribed to.

As you may expect, friendliness and sharing is a big part of the Xbox One experience.
