The Hunter is one of the two paid classes in TBH: Task Bar Hero, and she’s one of the strongest options to have. This class has very few downsides and plenty of upsides, making her a top-tier character.

However, you’ll still have to build her correctly to get the most of her abilities.

Best TBH: Task Bar Hero Hunter build

The Hunter’s primary role is to deal damage. She uses her crossbow to hit enemies from range. Unlike the Ranger, however, she has AoE potential. She can also slow down enemies, allowing her teammates to finish them off.

However, she doesn’t have a lot of health. If caught, she can only take a few hits. Hence, it’s important to pair her with a healer and a tank for best results. Let’s first go through her two best abilities.

  • Frost Bolt: She fires a bolt that explodes on impact. It deals 255% area damage and freezes all impacted enemies. It’s great at dealing damage and trapping enemies by disabling them temporarily. This is my favorite ability, and you can unlock this pretty early.
  • Explosive Bolt: The fire bolt she fires explodes on impact, dealing massive amounts of damage to enemies trapped in the radius. The area of effect is pretty significant, and the same goes for the damage.

Interestingly, all her abilities are good, but I love the starter duo the most. They’re perfect, and they complement each other. Chaining the two can lead to incredible results. However, it’s also important to level up the following passives.

  • Attack Damage: Raises the damage of all her abilities and attacks. It’s a must-have for every DPS character in the game.
  • Critical Chance Enhancement: Raising this skill will increase chances of her landing critical hits. You’ll also want her abilities to trigger a critical hit for maximum damage.
  • Critical Damage: Combine this with the previous skill to turn the Hunter into a Terminator.
  • Fire Damage and Cold Damage: Boost these two nodes since you’re using Frost Bolt and Explosive Bolt. They alight with the special attacks and raise their damage.
  • Cooldown Reduction: Reduces the time for her abilities to refresh, and this allows her to hit harder.
  • Area of Effect: If you have spare points, you can invest some in this node. It improves the AoE potential of both her abilities.

The same rule also applies for her gear items and decorations. Focus on Attack Damage, Critical Damage, and Cooldown Reduction since those three passives are integral parts of any Hunter builds.

When it comes to an ideal team, the Hunter works best with the Knight and the Priest. I have tried experimenting with her in a team that has the Ranger and the Priest; it doesn’t work. The Knight-Priest-Hunter combo works well since we have three classes that play different roles and complement one another.
