Xbox One is still on track for a September 4 launch in Japan. Microsoft’s pricing for the territory has been announced: 39,980 yen for the system sans Kinect, or 49,980 for the bundle with Kinect. Yes, the Kinect is optional. Microsoft plans to release the Kinect as a separate purchase later this year.

This puts the pricing right in line with the PS4 in Japan. We’ll see how their launch lineups compare later this year, but we know how that they have more than 40 games already in place for the Xbox One.
