Xbox One getting Minecraft: Xbox One Edition

It looks like Minecraft may be on the road to becoming the next Fruit Ninja or Angry Birds when it comes to getting on multiple platforms, because Microsoft has just announced Minecraft: Xbox One Edition, which as you might imagine, is an Xbox One port of Minecraft. And…well, it looks a heck of a lot like Minecraft, which is, I guess, the point.

That said, it looks like the Xbox One version of Minecraft won’t be as limited as the arguably hobbled (but still wildly popular) Xbox 360 Edition. They’ve promised larger maps, and expanded multiplayer, so if nothing else, folks willing to buy Minecraft on the Xbox One will have something to look forward to.
