Xbox Live marketing manager for EMEA Robin Burrowes told Joystiq that Xbox Live is bigger than ever, up five million more since last year. “Our audience growth is up to 35 million people globally across those 35 countries on Xbox Live itself,” he said, explaining that adding nine new countries at the end of last year helped a bit.
That’s an asston of people, though it’s not clear how many are Gold members. Burrowes also noted that Microsoft is earning “more revenue from the transaction space than the subscription space.” Good. Maybe we could just scratch that sub fee? No? Okay.
