Xbox Live Gold memberships cost the same on Xbox One

In a letter from Microsoft’s Marc Whitten summing up much of what was disclosed about the Xbox One today ahead of E3 proper, one tidbit stuck out. Going forward into the new console generation, Microsoft will, for better or worse, not alter the price of Xbox Live Gold.

It’ll be $5 per month as usual for online gaming and the like. Yeah, we probably all saw that one coming. At least it’s not a price increase which, wow, I just typed that out.
