Xbox 360 Kinect bundle $299: Price cut or just good deal?

Recommended Videos

[UPDATE: The pricing listed was a mistake, says Target: “Target recently became aware of the mispriced Xbox 360 250GB Kinect Bundle shown on Target.com’s main video game page. The page will be updated shortly to reflect the correct price. We sincerely regret this inconvenience.”]

If you’re shopping Target.com you’ll see a normal price of $399 for the Xbox 360 250GB Kinect bundle. The rotating Flash display on their main video games page shows the same bundle for $299.

Is this just an error? Or maybe a really great sale? Some think it could be an early hint at Microsoft’s E3 plans, though Target does not give any details on the pricing. It could be that Microsoft has a price cut lined up for this bundle.

We’ll know for sure in exactly one week, as a price cut would likely be revealed at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.
