World of Warcraft PC & TCG tournaments in Chicago this weekend

BlizzCon 2007 is still two months away, but that’s not stopping World of Warcraft fans from partying early. The worldwide Darkmoon Faire tour is coming to Chicago this weekend, and is offering three days of World of Warcraft tournaments and prizes. Admission to the event is free, and if you pay to participate in the trading card game tournaments, you might win an iPod, Xbox 360, or even a decked out gaming computer. Eight lucky winners will even get an invite to the 2007 World of Warcraft TCG National Championship or VIP passes to Gen Con Indianapolis, where bigger and better prizes await.

If the newly released Molten Core card game Raid Decks don’t interest you, and you’d rather play the actual PC game, then there will also be plenty of PCs set up for those in attendance. Don’t worry if you’re new to the MMORPG, you’ll be able to have play time with pre-made level 70 characters wearing the best PvP gear in the game, with the proceeds going to Child’s Play Charity. For more details, check out the where and when information after the jump.
