Wing Commander series half-off on GOG.com

Armada added to collection

GOG.com has added another feather in their cap with the release today of Wing Commander: Armada, the 1994 addition to the series which brought multiplayer game modes for the first time. And to celebrate, they’re putting their entire collection of Wing Commander titles (which has everything short of the barely connected Privateer 2) on sale for half the price if you buy the entire stack of games. The sale runs for the next week.

Wing Commander was not my favorite game for space dogfighting. That distinction goes to the X-Wing and TIE Fighter games. They were still great fun and I’m considering going in on this deal if for no other reason that to watch cutscenes of Mark Hamill and Malcolm Macdowell hamming it up.
