Windows 7 now supports the Xbox One wireless controller adapter

Support added for Windows 8.1, too

The Xbox One controller is terrific enough that I’ve considered dropping $25 on one of those wireless adapters for PC so I can use it beyond just Xbox gaming. But I haven’t. Not yet!

I’m still on Windows 7, despite Microsoft’s continual prompts to upgrade, and the adapters are for Windows 10. Thankfully, that changes today — Windows 7 and 8.1 are now supported as well.

These things are temporarily out of stock on Amazon, but so long as I’m there, I might as well buy some Nerds Rope in bulk to hand out in place of actual coal this Christmas. That would be fun.
