NBA 2K27 is now live, and the MyCareer mode looks more interesting than ever thanks to all the new additions. However, it’s important to ascertain the in-game difficulty which determines how hard/easy the gameplay will be.

In this guide, I will help you figure out the best difficulty so that you don’t miss out on rewards.

All NBA 2K27 MyCareer difficulty settings

There are six different difficulty levels to pick from.

  • Rookie
  • Semi-Pro
  • Pro
  • All Star
  • Superstar
  • Hall of Fame

Suffice to say, Rookie is the easiest in-game difficulty while Hall of Fame is the hardest. If you’re playing at the Rookie difficulty, you’ll have the easiest of games. However, playing against easier opponents will also nerf your rewards.

  • Rookie – 30% VC and 75% MyPOINTS Modifier
  • Semi-Pro – 60% VC and 85% MyPOINTS Modifier
  • Pro – 100% VC and 100% MyPOINTS Modifier
  • All-Star – 120% VC and 120% MyPOINTS Modifier
  • Superstar – 140% VC and 135% MyPOINTS Modifier
  • Hall of Fame – 160% VC and 150% MyPOINTS Modifier

Best NBA 2K27 MyCareer difficulty

Ideally, there’s no “one shoe fits all” situation here. If you’re a beginner, start at Semi-Pro. Rookie is just too easy in my liking, so it makes no sense to settle for the reduced rewards.

Changing the in-game difficulty in NBA 2K27

once you get better at the game, start changing the in-game difficulty to improve your rewards. In MyCareer, your virtual self will also improve radically once you invest more VC and raise the stats. This also allows you to raise the in-game difficulty without changing your chances of success.

If you’re an NBA 2K veteran, Superstar is a great starting point without getting overwhelmed. Hall of Fame is great, but it’s also not for the faint-hearted. You can also choose your in-game difficulty from the options. Once you confirm the change, it will save your preferred difficulty.
