Which company has the best line-up this fall? Jack Tretton weighs in

Responding to NPD’s August figures, Sony president Jack Tretton said that “we’re looking forward to a solid holiday season and are excited to offer a string of unmatched content to consumers in the coming months with LittleBigPlanet, Socom: Confrontation, Resistance 2, and MotorStorm: Pacific Rift.

As for the biggest titles in Microsoft’s first-party line-up, there’s Fable II, Gears of War 2, Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, and Lips; not a bad group of games, either. But how do they stack up against the Sony titles listed above? I’d argue that it really comes down to genre preference.

In order to make this comparison fair, I suppose I’m obligated to list the games Nintendo’s got planned for this fall too: Wii Music, Animal Crossing: City Folk, and Wario Land: Shake It!. Uh, riiight.
