Microsoft debunks new console rumour

Microsoft has debunked rumours that it is working on a new console.
When Microsoft employee David Gardner listed the “Xbox neXt” on his LinkedIn page, the internet exploded with rumours of a new or improved console.
Apparently not, insists Microsoft.
“Xbox neXt was an old internal team name for a group that worked on releasing Xbox One and is not related to a future console,” a Microsoft spokesperson told IGN. “We have nothing further to share.”
If that’s true, it’s weird that Gardner lists Xbox One and Xbox neXt, right? But whatever the story is, it seems Microsoft isn’t keen to tell us more just yet.
