Ain’t no foolin’
Good evening, friends, and welcome back to Whatcha Been Playing? Ha ha! It’s actually the morning! April Fools I got you good. Well, hardly, but then… I couldn’t fool someone on the foolingest day of my life if I had an electrified fooling machine. I’m no good with tricky. I only deal in cold, hard realities. Life has made me that way… And Sertraline. But anyway, ’tis April 1, so be wary of the headlines that you might see floating around the Information Superhighway, as it might just be somebody yankin’ your chain. Chance would be a fine thing.
Anyway, it’s awesome to see you all here again, and I’m looking forward to hearing all about how you’re doing and what you’ve all been up to. We gather on the pretense of gaming of the video persuasion, but we’re more than that. We’re a community, we’re supporters, we’re colleagues, we’re friends. And, as friends, we have interest in each other’s interest. It’s why Whatcha Been Playing remains the most commented Destructoid article week in, week out, and why we, beyond a doubt, are the finest community in gaming. And there ain’t no foolin’ about that one.
A Fool and his Money
I’ve been pretty busy this last week with work-related shenanigans, and right now I’m not even in the office. I’m in The Big Smoke, (that’s “London”), checking out some of the fine titles on display at the cosy WASD expo. I’m hoping to play a selection of big (and not so big) releases that will be winging your way in 2023, while also taking time out for another shot of Street Fighter 6 — truly a “Hook it To My Veins” meme if ever there was one. Other than that, I’ve been playing the localized release of GrimGrimoire OnceMore, but I’ll be leaving it to my pal CJ Andriessen to tell you all about that one.
Anyway, that’s enough about me, I’m off to a London local to buy a £9 sandwich and a £12 beer.
