Whatcha been playing this week, Destructoid?

February Fever

Recommended Videos

Hi, hello, good morrow, good morning, and welcome to Whatcha Been Playing? We are slap bang in the middle of February 2022, which has bafflingly been one of the biggest video game release months in decades. Courtesy of multiple delays, we’re looking down the barrel of a slew of great releases. As such, I’m a busy fella. We are a teeny tiny team, after all. But I hope that the past few weeks have brought you a rad title or two. There’s more to life than gaming, obviously, but that doesn’t mean we can’t take time out from the efforts of daily life for some cathartic action and adventure.

I didn’t hear no bell…

So, amidst this onslaught on new releases, yer boy Moyse has been keeping pretty durn busy. We all have, frankly. Having wound up reviews for excellent releases Infernax and The King of Fighters XV, I swiftly moved on to WayForward’s retro remaster River City Girls Zero, (stay tuned for my thoughts). With a couple of other titles still on deck for me, it’s going to be some time before I get to check out heavy hitters like Elden Ring and Horizon Forbidden West. That’s fine, there will be other days. Frankly, I’m stunned by the embarrassment of riches we, as gaming fans, have on offer right now.

Spoiled for choice

With that in mind, this week’s Whatcha Been Playing should have a hell of a lot of variety. Whether you’re playing some brand new releases, some backlog-clogging veterans, or even if you’re strolling through Night City in the newly updated Cyberpunk 2077 — share your current gaming experiences in the comments below. There’s so much goodness out there right now, on all platforms, so it will be wicked to see what’s popular with the greatest video gaming community. That’s you. Obviously.

Have a wonderful weekend, from all of us at Destructoid.
