What the hell? Blizzard theme park ‘Joyland’ for China?

Never would I have combined the two random thoughts to come up with the idea of a Blizzard-themed theme park. It doesn’t quite compute in my head, but the more I think about it, the more I like it. Of course, if there was to be a Blizzard theme park, it would have to be somewhere in Asia.

How about the Wunjin district, and how about an opening date of March 2011. We’re not sure of how much truth there is behind a rumor posted by French website GameBlog, but the details and concept images they’ve posted sound great.

Through a translation at G4 we learn that park will allegedly be divided into separate parts, including Island of Mystery, Terrain of Warcraft, Universe of StarCraft (seen above), World of Legend and the cute looking Moles world. There’s also plans for a videogame museum and a e-sports center. As for rides, expect three coasters, a simulator and a free-fall tower. The only thing that sucks about this place is the name: Joyland. It’s like they ran out of imagination at the naming process.
