What are Warner’s plans for Mortal Kombat’s Sonya Blade?

If you’ve been thinking “We certainly haven’t seen enough Sonya Blade in the past 17 years,” you’re not alone.

On October 26, Warner Bros. Entertainment filed for trademark for the words “Sonya Blade,” Mortal Kombat‘s tough-but-sexy Special Forces fighter. The trademark has it identified for all matter of things, from films to batteries, cordless phones to decorative magnets. Oh, and videogames.

Film is listed first, so one could assume that perhaps a Mortal Kombat film revival revolving around Sonya may be in the cards. You know, with the success of Capcom throwing Chun-Li to the Hollywood wolves, this just makes sense

We look forward to hearing what Warner’s official plans are for Sonya, but in the meantime, tell us what you’d do with Sonya Blade. Okay, that didn’t sound right at all
