In announcing its first quarter calendar 2011 financial results, Activision Blizzard has dropped some insane statistics relating to Call of Duty. Unsurprisingly, add-on content for the series continues to do remarkably well. Black OpsFirst Strike pack was downloaded 1.4 million times within 24 hours of going live.

The company says that “To date, Call of Duty: Black Ops players have logged more than 1.2 billion online hours of online gameplay.” The number of total unique online Black Ops players was 33 percent greater than the total unique players of Modern Warfare 2 for the first five months after each title’s release.

Additionally, downloads of the First Strike DLC were more than 20 percent higher than downloads of the Stimulus Pack for Modern Warfare 2 “during the comparable period in 2010.” Yup. Sh*t is mad popular.
