When does Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 come out?

According to the Game Awards 2023 trailer, Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be released on September 9, 2024. Beta test sign ups are also available for those who want a sneak peek into gameplay.

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is a direct sequel of the original, putting the player back in the role of the elite Space Marine Titus. You’ll blast through the enemy forces across the galaxy to save the universe from annihilation. Plus, Space Marine 2 connects to the Warhammer 40,000 universe, meaning it is canon to the series’ overall lore.

What platforms will Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 be on?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 will be available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5 and PC. Pre-orders are accessible for most platforms, such as a Standard, Gold, and Collector’s Edition. The Gold Edition is console-exclusive, so it won’t be available for PC. It includes Macragge’s Chosen DLC, three days early access, and exclusive weapons.

Although PC doesn’t have the Gold Edition, each available platform does offer a Collector’s Edition. This version presents a 172-page hardcover book, a steelbook, three days early access, and Season Pass.

The Game Awards 2022 unveiled the Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2’s Gameplay Reveal trailer. In this snippet, we watch the chaos of war unfold as Titus brings down numerous enemy hordes.

For more insight into Space Marine 2, Saber Interactive and Focus Entertainment debuted an Extended Gameplay trailer. It starts off fairly slow while Titus explores the surrounding area. But since Warhammer 40,000 is far from peaceful, it isn’t too long until Titus is greeted by a Tyranid army. You’ll also hear the voice talents of Clive Standen (Vikings, Taken, and Everest), who has taken on the role of the playable character.

Is Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 multiplayer?

Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 offers multiplayer features with a maximum of three-player co-op. That means you and two other users can eliminate the Tyranid threat. The Co-Op Campaign Reveal trailer also gave us a glimpse into team dynamics:
