Warcraft Rumble Roadmap: All future content, explained

A full breakdown of the future of the game

Warcraft Rumble is live, and it has a lot of issues to sort out (both technical and mechanical) until it becomes something special. But thanks to the team’s BlizzCon 2023 panel, we have a lot of information on what is actually coming to the game. Let’s break it down!

All the info we have on what’s coming to Warcraft Rumble

On November 4, 2023, Blizzard uploaded a recording of their BlizzCon panel, which highlighted several quality of life, mechanical, and content updates for the game. Said discussion happens roughly 28:00 in, and the preceding content is mainly a recap of what the game is about (you can skip it!).

We’ll update this list as more info arrives.

Warcraft Rumble Season 2 – Release date: December 9, 2023

The first season (which featured Sylvanas) went by fast, and although a leader was the main focus of the inaugural event, a mini (the Night Elf-based Chimera) will be entering the fray in Season 2.

Warcraft Rumble Season 3 – Release date: Early 2024

The Blackrock conspirer Emperor Thaurissan will be a new leader you can earn in Season 3. Details are very slim at the moment, as is the release date of Season 3 – but based on prior seasonal timelines, we can expect this one to launch in January 2024.

Warcraft Rumble Season 4 – Release date: 2024

Remember the cute Faerie dragons from…pretty much every round of a major Blizzard merch push (and Heroes of the Storm, RIP)? Well, they’re coming to Warcraft Rumble, in mini form! They will debut in Season 4.

The Molten Core Raid – TBA

Raids are arguably the biggest piece of content coming to Warcraft Rumble, and there are several bonuses and goodies to sift through. Let’s take a look at them at a glance:

  • Three raid wings to play through (with co-op)
  • A Ragnaros Blackrock faction leader
  • Legendary (orange) cores and XP tomes
  • Boost slots that can provide a level 20 boost for minis
  • “Platinum” slots that are above gold leader slots

Phew, it’s a lot! Beyond Ragnaros, your main source of content is grinding through each wing for rewards, which can boost up your units and leaders to make them “Onxyia ready.” Raids will start at level 26 and go to 29, so prepare accordingly.

Scholomance (a new dungeon) – TBA

Right now, Warcraft Rumble only has four dungeons for five rotation “faction weeks.” That will change once Scholomance enters the fray.

Based on the popular Warcraft location, Scholomance will bring the dungeon count to five and will allow players to cycle through five dungeons in five weeks for a more varied experience. Note that each faction will not be linked to a specific dungeon at this time.

Moonglade (a new campaign zone) – TBA

Moonglade is a new region that will be arriving later in the game’s lifecycle and will serve as an additional bridge (beyond the Molten Core raid) between the last launch zone and the Onyxia final boss encounter. It will start at level 16 by default, and heroic clears will start at level 26.

Brightwing isn’t a leader (yet at least), but they will be featured as a boss. Here are all of the confirmed stages you’ll be playing through:

  • Brightwing
  • Druids (Claw and Talon)
  • Brumeran
  • Ysera
  • Cenarius

While the zone should have been in the game at launch, it’ll nevertheless serve as a decent way to get your armies ready for Onxyia. You can find our full Moonglade breakdown here.

PVP and miscellaneous

Here are some errant/smaller things Blizzard has confirmed for the future of the game:

  • New cosmetic emotes
  • A PVP rework with rotating maps each round (rather than a blanket period of time in which the same map is used over and over)
  • Replays
  • More skins for towers and kobolds
