Hot on the heels of Street Fighter‘s Yoshinori Ono tweeting there are currently no plans to bring the Street Fighter series to the Wii U, Capcom has announced the entirety of the SNES Street Fighter II series is headed to the the system’s virtual console.

Beginning this week in North America and Europe, Wii U owners will be able to download 92’s Street Fighter II; 93’s Street Fighter II Turbo, and 94’s Super Street Fighter II. Each game will arrive at the standard $7.99, but Capcom is also offering a deal for those who’d like to own the SNES Street Fighter II trifecta.

For North American gamers, buying one title will drop the price of the other two games by 50 percent. In Europe, Capcom will be running a buy-two, get-the-third-game-free deal.

Either way, if you buy all three the savings are the same. But does anyone really need them all?
