This Xbox One looks like a chunk of Godzilla

The king is dead

We’ve seen some bizarre custom consoles in our time, but this officially sanctioned Godzilla-themed Xbox One might just take the kaiju cake. It looks like someone carved out a hunk of Godzilla’s flesh.

And, well, you can win it! As a promo for Godzilla: King of the Monsters, Microsoft is giving out limited-edition Xbox One Xs based on Godzilla, Mothra, Rodan, and King Ghidorah. All you have to do is retweet, and knowing some of you out there, you’ve done far stranger stuff in the name of contests.

The Xbox One giveaway doesn’t end until June 7, 2019 at 10:00pm Pacific, so you have time. The best bit? Microsoft will reach out to the winners via DM. “Look, pal, you want this thing or not?”

These designs are ridiculous (they look like something you’d craft in Monster Hunter), but that’s the whole point. If they weren’t going to take the subtle approach, they might as well have gone all-out.

If there’s any crime here, it’s the fact that we haven’t gotten a good new video game to go along with the movie. Bandai Namco’s PlayStation-exclusive Godzilla feels like forever ago. That was 2014!
