The April 2022 Mario Kart 8 open tournament is being held this coming weekend on Switch, with the ability to earn My Nintendo Gold Points in the process.
Nintendo periodically runs these little contests to spur interest in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and there’s another one ready to go for April. It takes place this weekend on April 29, 30, and May 1, from 12PM PT to 6PM PT on each day. Here are the full instructions:
“To enter, you must participate in the Tournament in the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game during the Tournament Period. To access the Tournament, select the following, in order, within the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game: Online Play, Tournaments, Search by Code. Enter the following code [below] to enter the in-game tournament.”
Each day, the top eight players will win 2500 My Nintendo Gold Points that will be deposited into their account. That’s essentially $25 in moon bucks that you can use directly on the eShop: if you haven’t used Gold Points in a while, Nintendo has a handy explainer on their site.
You can find the tournament IDs for each day below, and you can enter all three or any combination of them.
