The Xbox One will NOT function without the Kinect

We already know that the Xbox One comes bundled with the Kinect, which already has people typing frowny emoticons across social media, but IGN is now reporting that without the Kinect, there is no Xbox One. “Kinect does require to be connected to Xbox One in all cases, yes,” marketing director Harvey Eagle told IGN. 

The hardware panel that took place after the big reveal conference had a lot of technical jargon, but I did manage to decipher that the new Kinect will work better in small rooms, so at least there’s that. I just hope that people don’t ever have to use the thing if they don’t want to, because no one wants to.
