The Punisher: No Mercy punishes PSN on July 2

Developer ZEN Studios has announced that its PlayStation Network title, The Punisher: No Mercy, will be available on July 2 for $9.99.

Powered by Unreal Engine 3, No Mercy‘s first-person action is focused on an online multiplayer affair, supporting up to eight players in solo and team-based modes. The game will also have a single-players story mode, which we can only hope will involve a piranha tank kill (like in Volition’s last-gen title, The Punisher), and not simply be the multiplayer mode with seven bots and some cut-scenes. But we’re not so sure about that last one.

The game is being released exclusively on PlayStation Network, so if you don’t have one of those fancy PlayStation 3s, then you’re out of luck.
