The Doors first downloadable content for Rock Band 3

Rock Band 3 isn’t even on shelves yet, but Harmonix and MTV Games have confirmed that a slew of tracks from music legends The Doors will be the first downloadable songs for the game on launch day, October 26.

“At the outset of the Rock Band 3 project, we identified The Doors, with their powerful songs driven by intricately woven keyboard, guitar and drum parts, as an ideal partner for the game,” MTV Games’ Paul DeGooyer said, stating the obvious.

12 songs by The Doors will hit the Rock Band Music store on October 26, with three of the tracks featuring support for the new Pro Guitar and Pro bass features of the new game. Good news on those three tracks — they’re free for the first week of release, between October 26 and November 1. The tracks will include “Light My Fire,” “Riders on the Storm,” and “Touch Me.”

The remaining nine tracks will be available as a single pack; on November 2, you’ll be able to pick and choose, as the songs will then be made available for individual downloads. The full list of the songs available can be found below.
