Swamp Thing to drain the swamp in Injustice 2

I want to be hugged by those arms

Although I’ve been enjoying every character reveal thus far for Injustice 2, something’s been missing. I’ve been hyped regardless, but none of the characters had “wowed” me yet. That is, until now. Coming off of a recent boon to his popularity from appearances in animated films like Justice League Dark (which was A-OK in my book because they fought a poop monster) and just being generally DC Comics’ version of Shrek as he hates folks lazing about in his swamp, is Swamp Thing with the coolest moveset and animations so far.

I think the most impressive thing about this trailer, beyond his cool super, is how smoothly he’s animated. Mixing some of Solomon Grundy’s moveset from the previous game with a bit of Noob Saibot and his own crazy grapple aptitude, Swamp Thing is yet another hopeful example of the sequel moving away from the projectile heavy meta-game of the first. If not, at least there’s a character with a long reach to turn the tables.
