Super Smash Bros. Melee returns for EVO 2014

Good on you, Nintendo

Super Smash Bros. Melee‘s inclusion in EVO 2014 was far from a sure thing given Nintendo’s questionable history with the fighting game tournament, but the organizers’ discussions with the company have been fruitful: the fan-favorite game is a lock for this year’s event.

Besides the fact that the game is so damn entertaining to watch played at this level, it just makes sense to have it featured from a promotional standpoint, what with a new Smash Bros. on the way. EVO is still far off at this point, but July 11-13 will be here before we know it.
