Witchbrook was missing from summer games streams

What game are you waiting to see that was missing from the summer streams?

Missing games galore

Recommended Videos

During the summer streams over the past few weeks, the flood of new games that were being thrown at us seemed never-ending, and I mean that in the best way possible. We still have a couple more upcoming news streams, but the bulk of it is behind us. The one downside of this is that any titles that were missing from the streams likely won’t be seeing much love for now, and while we can’t completely write off individual trailer drops or news posts, there isn’t anything concrete to look forward to in the near future.

We want to know, what missing games are you still waiting to see that weren’t fully shown off during June’s streams and showcase events?

I know I certainly have my answer. In our staff post about which games we were hoping to see during the streams, I came right out the gate with my undying adoration for the upcoming wizarding school simulator Witchbrook, which is under development by Chucklefish. We hadn’t gotten any updates on the game for literal years, and then right before the news blitz a few weeks ago, Witchbrook was officially listed on Steam, and we got to see some new screenshots, too.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf

I was beyond thrilled by this, and had somehow convinced myself that this meant we would be getting an even more substantial update on the game during the news streams. I mean I said we might get a release date for crying out loud. What was I thinking? Blinded by my own optimism, I guess. Chucklefish have been playing their cards pretty close to their chest with this one, likely because the game has a long way to go before its release. At least I wasn’t alone — some of the other missing games that we mentioned in the staff post include the new Dragon Age title (which got a logo), Project 007, and Pikmin 4, although there still might be a Nintendo Direct on the way sooner than later.

So, let us know down in the comments which missing game you were holding out hope for these past few weeks. At least this way we can all find solidarity in our disappointment.
