Street Fighter V launches beta tests in North and South America this week

Final batch of tests before global beta

Following a series of successful stress tests in Europe and Asia, Capcom announced today that Street Fighter V beta stress tests will begin for North and South America. The tests start Tuesday, August 24 from 4:00pm – midnight Pacific, and on the following day at the same time.

The five-day global beta will launch sometime after this regional test. The European and Asian tests went off mostly without a hitch, so if the American test is just as promising then the beta should follow shortly. Have no fear, though, because two days of testing will be just enough time for people to overreact to characters being “god-tier,” and for fans of Street Fighter IV to complain that it’s different.
